About Rezdôra

You may wonder what Rezdôra means. I am from Emilia-Romagna, a region in Italy famous for its delicious food (e.g., Tortellini, Prosciutto, aceto balsamico, etc.). La Rezdôra is a traditional figure in Italian culture.
The name derives from the Latin verb regere, meaning “to direct”. In the past, families living in the countryside were larger, and many siblings would live with their extended family under the same roof as their original family. The Rezdôra was the matriarch who managed the home, the family matters, and the culinary traditions. She also took care of the livestock’s welfare and the orchards. She was a skilled cook and homemaker, not just a housewife, but a pillar of the community—a benevolent figure always available to help and have a positive impact in every situation. My grandmother was a Rezdôra. You would always find what you needed in her home: delicious food, a clean space, a stocked pantry, a full fridge, a sense of calm and joy, and thriving plants. Who doesn’t need a Rezdôra?

The whole family gathered around the table, hands dusted with flour, each taking part in bringing the dough to life.
When the dough grew too big to handle by hand, they turned to the Gramola, a hand-cranked machine once used.

My idea is rooted in my past, a bridge from the past to the present. I want to bring that same feeling into your home: a stocked, sorted, and comfortable environment. The food I prepare comes from my family—made from scratch, genuine, and simple. It’s the kind of food that brings back memories and comforts the soul.

As a Rezdôra, I embody the spirit of the traditional figure. I bring the same care, attention to detail, and nurturing qualities into your home. I’m not just a chef, I’m a Rezdôra, ready to manage your house, cook delicious meals, and provide administrative assistance.
